Photography is the art, science, and practice of capturing memorable moments, either good or bad, that people could reminisce at any given time. Those moments could be the day a relative graduated from college or the day that a person’s first child was born or the day a couple made a vow to live happily together. Photography is able to capture the best and worst moments of a person.
This art, science, and practice of capturing memorable moments have so many types and it includes wedding photography. Wedding photography is the art of capturing the happenings during the day a couple got married. It includes the pre-wedding shoot (where the couple is photographed in the most special place for them and this is also the time when the couple and the photographer try to get comfortable with each other), the wedding day, and even post-wedding shoot. This is one of the most popular kinds of photography since it captures the day when two persons got united and made a vow to live and love together for the rest of their lives.
One of the most popular wedding photographers around is Andrew Holman. Best known for his Sedona Wedding Photographs, Andrew Holman is a graduate of the Colorado Institute of Art in Denver where he finished a degree in Commercial Photography. Sedona is a city in the state of Arizona where Holman does his wedding photographs sessions. Holman chose this place mainly because of its stunning attraction of red sandstone formations called as the Red Rock of Sedona. The red rocks definitely serve as a perfect backdrop for couples who love each other.
Though Andrew Holman is known more as a wedding photographer, he has already worked for different approaches in photography. It includes editorial and journalistic photography as well as art photography. Art portraiture was his first love having done a number of fine art exhibitions in Denver. One of his most notable photo exhibits was the Portraits of a Community where it profiled various characters found in the Denver area.
He then worked for a photojournalism position in Vail Trail Newspaper for five years. In his time with the newspaper, Holman was able to cover a number of activities which includes sports action and editorial features. His photographs were even carried by numerous publications like The Village Voice, People Magazine, Ski Magazine, Mother Jones Magazine, and the Gamma-Liazon Photo Agency of New York.
In the career of Holman in the world of photography, it shows that he is not just a one-dimensional person.
